Red White Blue Ice Cubes (Printable Version)

Layer blueberries, coconut and strawberries in trays to create festive red-white-blue ice cubes for summer drinks.

# What You Need:

→ Fruit

01 - 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
02 - 1/2 cup hulled and chopped strawberries
03 - 1/2 cup fresh coconut meat or unsweetened shredded coconut

→ Liquids

04 - 1 cup coconut water
05 - 1 cup natural blueberry juice
06 - 1 cup natural strawberry juice or cranberry juice

# How To Make It:

01 - Clean blueberries and strawberries thoroughly. Hull and coarsely chop strawberries. Prepare coconut meat if using fresh coconut.
02 - Fill one-third of each compartment in an ice cube tray with blueberries. Pour blueberry juice over them until just covered. Place in freezer and chill for approximately 1 hour or until solid.
03 - On top of the blue layer, sprinkle coconut meat or shredded coconut to cover. Gently pour in coconut water until the tray is two-thirds full. Return to freezer for an additional hour, freezing until firm.
04 - Distribute chopped strawberries over the white layer and fill each cavity to the top with strawberry or cranberry juice. Freeze until ice cubes are completely solid, about 2 more hours.
05 - Remove the layered ice cubes from the tray and use them to chill lemonade, sparkling water, or cocktails, adding a festive touch for special occasions.
