01 - Sift matcha powder into a small bowl to eliminate lumps. Add hot water and whisk vigorously with bamboo whisk or small whisk until frothy and smooth consistency forms.
02 - Pour almond milk into small saucepan and heat over medium until steaming but not boiling. Stir in maple syrup and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
03 - Using milk frother or whisk, froth heated almond milk until thick foam develops on top.
04 - Divide matcha mixture evenly between two mugs. Slowly pour steamed milk into each mug, holding back foam with spoon. Spoon remaining foam on top and dust with extra matcha powder if desired.
